Improve Your Facebook Feed Now!

Facebook is certainly not our only source of getting updated, but to be honest, no other platform can actually outreach as many daily active users as Facebook. It's been asserted, convincingly, that Facebook isn't really contributing enough to tackle false news that appears in the news feed. Plus it hasn't lived up to its responsibilities as a distributor of content to do so.

If you too are tired of seeing all the unwanted content or fake news then why not engage yourself in making your newsfeed better and up to your demand.

Following are three ways to make your newsfeed better according to you.

I want Facebook Newsfeed flooded up with what I like:

Facebook algorithm's main purpose is to seize your attention. Its algorithm is complex and inherently adaptive and it is formulated to serve up content based on your activity.

What that means?

It means that Facebook mostly displays you the content you want to see based on your likes and dislikes. Let's say if you are active to like memes, it will later show you more memes on your newsfeed.

And this is how its filters work!!

So, instead of bitching about Facebook and its algorithms do something for your own good. if you want your newsfeed flooded with what you're interested in then just like all those related pages. Keep yourself engaged in posts that portray your mind alike information. Befriends within your community and beliefs.

I want Newsfeed with diversity:

However, if you want a news feed with a more diverse point of view, then pop that filter bubble. Here are some ways to do that,

  • Add Friends based on different beliefs.

Adding friends based on different beliefs will let you learn how big and passionate the group on the other side is, or what they're thinking, and how they're articulating it.

Moreover, if you aren't comfortable being "friends" with someone whose beliefs you consider reprehensible, there is, actually, an alternative: Follow them, just to make sure their posts will still appear in your news feed.

  • Follow/Engage with pages/people you disagree with.

Though we all should be selective in our following, but if you want to diversify your news feed then do follow pages and groups, with you strongly disagree. (However, don't follow extremist or radical groups with offensive belief systems, rather please report them.)

Look at the sites, publications and personalities you follow that support your worldview, then ask yourself what their equivalent is on the other side, follow and engage with them as well to understand the things with broader perspective.

Be Alert:

  • Read before you share.

Websites sometimes, to gain fame overnight, write misleading headlines. Better be alert, before you tap the share button, just read what you're sharing, to make sure if you are really interested in sharing it and talking about it. Otherwise, you're just contributing to those websites in promoting disputed news.

Be Responsible:

  • Flag fake news.

Facebook has been accused a lot lately to not take immediate actions against fake news, to which it has responded to its users, asking them to be responsible in marking fake news as disputed. Though it should make obvious changes and take cautions for the above-said matter but you don't have to wait for them—you can do something about fake news stories the moment you see them.

What you should do when you see fake stories on Facebook?

Just go to the drop-down arrow in the top right, go down to Report post > I think it shouldn't be on Facebook > It's a false news story.

If you're already familiar with this box, you should probably stop (or at least go easy on) using the "It's annoying or distasteful" and "It goes against my views" options. Blocking things for going against your views is exactly what makes your filter bubble grow.

The better newsfeed is only a step away from you, follow these easy tips and see results for yourself.

Happy Facebooking you guys!!

Who is stalking me on Facebook?

"Who is viewing my Facebook profile on daily basis?" has always been a question that almost all of us have wondered about, but never got a clue.

And If you were to state you've never pondered who's been looking your Facebook timeline, you'd be lying, undoubtedly. Almost all of us are keen to know who've been looking for us and flicking through our profile pictures. (Right or naah?!)

Furthermore, despite the fact that there are plenty of applications that claim to disclose to you who's been on your profile, yet they obviously never work — which is exactly the reason you're here, reading this article to reveal "Who's been stalking you on Facebook".
